Baha’i communities in Belarus

Occurrence of Baha’i communities in Belarus was gradual, in the beginning this process has captured capital Minsk and the regional centers, has then embraced smaller cities, such as Bobruysk, Borisov, Zhodino, Novopolotsk, Baranovichi. Simultaneously the first Baha’is began to appear in small towns – the district centers, like Beshenkovichi, Malorita, Hoiniki. For today already there are two rural Baha’i communities, taking place on a stage of their official registration.

There were friends from foreign countries: Australia, Netherlands, the USA, Germany, Iran, Cameroon, – who helped to create the first Baha’i communities. They came here at their own expense and at their free time with the only purpose – to inform the Belorussians of the message that new Revelation has come – Baha’u’llah, who granted a new religion to mankind. These foreign Baha’is sacrificed with many things for the sake of the first sprouts of the new Faith to be appeared in Minsk and Grodno, Brest and Vitebsk. Nowadays process goes independently, without the external assistance. For the last years Belarussian Baha’is became mature enough and well-prepared to keep on teaching the Message of Baha’u’llah using their own strength.
