The History of the Minsk Bahá’í Community
1989 - 1990, First inhabitants of Minsk embrace the Bahá’í Faith.
1991, A Local Spiritual Assembly is elected in Minsk for the first time.
1992, The Bahá’í community of Minsk is officially registered with the City Council (Registration Certificate No. 26, dated 12 October 1992).
1994, The Hand of the Cause of God Mrs. Mary Maxwell visits Minsk. She is a prominent international public figure and the spouse of Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith and grandson of Bahá’u’lláh.
The Bahá’í Community of Minsk presently numbers some 100 members, including children.
