Bah?’?s Took Part in ‘Prayer for Belarus’

Minsk, 2 October – The ceremonial event called ‘Prayer for Belarus’ was held near the All Saints Memorial Temple. The ceremony was conducted to pay tribute to those who died in combat to protect Fatherland during the Second World War.

Regulations of the event included participation of the state chief executives headed by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, as well as leaders of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the Belarusian Roman Catholic Church, Muslim and Jewish religious unions, representatives of the other religious affiliations, ethnic and cultural public organisations, and the diplomatic corps in Belarus.  The Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Belarus was represented by its Chairperson Victor Kolesov.

Through the offices of the Chief of State, the ceremony to bury seven capsules containing soil from graves of the Belarusian warriors, who died far away from their native land, took place in the crypt of the All Saints Memorial Temple. According to President Lukachenko, burial of theses capsules in the crypt signifies tribute to the Belarusian warriors who gave their lives for peace and order on the planet.

The event included concert of choral and symphonic music which transformed the stage near the Temple in a huge concert hall in the open air.
In the words of Victor Kolesov, nationwide events of such a high level unite hearts of people of the various ethnic and religious background, fill them with love towards each other, endow with feeling of unity and understanding that we all are leaves of one tree and that the betterment of the world is possible only by joint efforts via knitting in one faith, in one universal cause.
