Training institute campaign took place

The training institute campaign took place near Brest from the 25th to the 29th of December. Out of habit we called it a winter school. The campain proved to be an event that has had no match among the previous Belarusian gatherings.

Training institute campaign 2013

This campaign was carried out similar to previous events in the Baltics, during which friends from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus studied the Ruhi courses together. During these five days a children’s class and junior youth groups took place. Our Baltic friends noted that the Bearusian campaign became something special. All participants felt the spirit of unity and spiritual growth, both within each of us and among all of the friends.

During the five days of the campaign we did not just study the materials of Ruhi books 1, 2 and 8, but carried out the practices as well: participants of the Ruhi study circles visited each other and the junior youth groups, conducted deepenings, shared prayers, performed at the evening programs. Also the children’s class and the junior youth groups used the opportunities to present on the evening programs with enthusiasm the songs, dances, short scetches they have learned during the day.

All of us were assured of the importance to conduct the practices for the Ruhi Institute and of the great significance of studying the Word of God together. The campaign helped us to understand the necessity of the consolidation of the community, to cherish the wonderful  atmosphere of love during our community meetings. We experienced each other’s support and accompaniment on our path of service.

Children’s class teachers and junior youth group animators got a wonderful experience: the participating children and junior youth came from different backgrounds and studying the lessons with them they learned to jointly overcome difficulties. Friends who dedicated their time and energy to working with the children and junior youth are grateful to Bah?’u’ll?h for the experience they gained, the blessings they received, for the unity and joy that accompanied their efforts.

Youth and junior youth felt as members of one family and didn't want to part.

Through their engagement with each other, their joy and collective participation in the evening programs the children showed how spiritual education influences the behavior.

Nearly seventy people participated in the campaign and it was a true Bah?’? winter school for us. Friends who newly joined us pondered on their attitude to the Faith and Bah?’u’ll?h, and two of them declared themselves as Bah?’?s.

The conversation about what it means to be a Bah?’? will continue after the campaign, hopefully in our own communities. What does it mean to accept the will of God revealed by Bah?’u’ll?h, how do we arise to serve? How is the service of the friends around the world related to our understanding of the course of our lives? Probably this is an infinite but most exciting and important process: The more we deepen ourselves in the Teachings the more our vision is broadened and our awareness is raised. May the examples of those believers who have devoted their whole life to service always be before our eyes!

"O son of man! Write all that We have revealed unto thee with the ink of light upon the tablet of thy spirit. Should this not be in thy power, then make thine ink of the essence of thy heart. If this thou canst not do, then write with that crimson ink that hath been shed in My path. Sweeter indeed is this to Me than all else, that its light may endure for ever". Bah?’u’ll?h
